Osmanthus by Robin Ferriere

Going-Blind Fun

We say – your eyes taste first, then your nose, last your mouth.

What if we change the rules by blindfolding our food?

I was in Paris early last month and passed by the Ladurée pop-up store on 21 rue Bonaparte.  Seeing exclusively almond color macaroons around, I thought they’re promoting a new flavor, only to find out it’s a very smart game played by Ladurée using monochrome macaroon shells to test your taste bud!

You’ll be surprised by how much more work and focus is need for your tongue to recognize even the most significant flavors like coffee!

Hasn't blind tasting just gotten more fun?
